Loop Looters

Made for GMTK Game Jam 2025 with the theme "Loop".

Loop Looters is a micro strategy game with a looped path that joins two enemy bases. 

Units move either clockwise or anti-clockwise around the loop, fighting enemy units along the way. 

Each team has a loot goblin that steals gold from the enemy base and delivers it home at the end of the loop. The game ends when a base is destroyed.

Objective

• Have the highest score when the game ends
• Destroying the enemy base will end the game

How to play

• Buy units with gold to send them around the loop
• Units move in a single direction, fighting any enemies on the way
• Loot goblin steals gold from enemy base and delivers it home
• Choose between attacking enemy base or their loot goblin

How to earn points

• Killing enemy units
• Looting enemy gold
• Destroying the enemy base for a large bonus (which also ends the game)

Controls

• Left click: Buy/place units
• Right click: Cancel unit placement
• Esc: Pause
